Introduction:

The budding engineers begin their journey from First Year B. Tech department. So, main aim of the dept is to ensure, strong foundation in the subjects of Science, Mathematics and Basic Engineering disciplines such as Systems of Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics and Civil Engineering Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Engineering Graphics and Programming & Problem-Solving Using Python Languages. Also, syllabus includes skill-based and practical through laboratories, vocational and skill enhancement courses, co-curricular activities and foreign language learning for global prospects. It encourages students to develop practical skills, creativity and critical thinking through hands-on activities and project-based learning. The inclusion of Professional Communication, Indian Knowledge Systems, Ethics, and Emerging Technologies supports the overall development of students by improving their technical knowledge, social and environmental awareness, and ethical values. In addition, exposure to digital technologies, programming, and innovation-oriented learning prepares students for the challenges of emerging and future technologies. This curriculum aims at the 360-degree development of students focusing on academic excellence, professional competence, physical fitness, and moral strength. They are made aware of self-responsibility, through teachers and guest lectures by outside experts and make them to realize what they owe to the society. The department of F.Y. B. Tech is having 20 basic science and 40 basic engineering faculty. The teachers are friendly, competent, well experienced and enthusiastic. The team of F.Y. teachers are headed by one senior teacher working as HOD F.Y., who will be responsible for planning and execution of all the activities of First Year B. Tech from beginning to end of First Year. The overall personality of the students is developed through very effective planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and controlling the well-planned teaching-learning process and various co-curricular & extracurricular activities. The department has very well ventilated, high-tech class rooms, well equipped laboratories and computers with necessary infrastructural facilities.
