Department of Information Technology has been started in 2001 and presently running with intake of 120. Department is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi in 2013 ,2022 and 2025. Department has 8 advanced well equipped laboratories, Seminar Hall, Tutorial Hall, classroom with smartboard, Department TV Display. Department has 15 experienced dynamic faculties including 8 PhD faculties and 6 PhD pursuing faculties. Apart from regular curriculum department has excellent results, strong IT industry connect and good placements.

Department regularly organised workshops, seminars, guest lectures by IT industry experts and eminent professors in emerging IT areas such as Machine Learning, Data Science, Internet of Things, Cyber security, Cloud Computing, Blockchain Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Network Security, Human-Computer Interaction, Mobile Computing, Web Technologies, IT Project Management etc.
