Student Development Cell & Student Grievance Redressal Cell


AVCOE tries to nurture student’s mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, cultural growth, social needs with various activities to improve their overall personality development and to make them civilized Indian citizens to compete in the globalized world.
Board of Student Development section comprising of different committees is committed to provide programs and opportunities that support students in achieving their overall development.
Considering various carrier options available to the students and different inputs required to be given to them along with academic program a different student developement activities has been developed at AVCOE.
Various personal and professional skill development programs viz. Foreign Language Certification Courses, Communication and Soft Skill programs, Aptitude Training, Technical Skill enhancement programs,, Personal and Spiritual Development Programs, Entrepreneurship Development Activities, and Preparation courses for competitive Examinations (GATE/GRE/CAT/MPSC/UPSC etc.) are made available on campus through various professional agencies.
The board is also cultural in providing platform to the students to nurture and showcase their talents through Arts, games and mudra club etc.
The social commitment is imbibed in students organized through different activities like Blood Donation Camp, Tree Plantation, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan etc. Students are given opportunities to develop and nurture their leadership qualities through Student Associations like CESA, MESA,SITES, PESA etc. Student Council working as volunteers in various events organized at Department/college level.

Functions :-

  • To process nomination on “Student Council” as per the norms of SPPU.
  • To ensure proper follow up of the college and hostel disciline rules and regulations including college uniform.
  • To plan and monitor the various student developement/welfare activities, schemes for benefits to the students.
  • To ensure provision and upkeepment of essential infrastructure and other essential facilities to all students of college including health,hygiene and safty.
  • To make students aware of various scholarships, financial support schemes of State government, SPPU and other funding agencies. (K.B.P. Earn & Learn scheme)
  • To ensure proper functioning of the student development committee,utilisation of student welfare fund.
  • To take adequate measures to ensure and maintain student discipline.Necessary vigilance and control to curb any matters,incidences of indiscipline,misbehavior,ragging.Handle matters of such incidances if any and suggest suitable disciplinary measures/actions. (Anti Ragging Cell)
  • To handle student grievances and suggest remedial measures. (Student Grivance & Redressal Cell)
  • Felicitation of students in recognition of their distinguished achievments,performance.
  • To put up “Help desk” for new entrants (FE and direct SE admissions)during admission process and initial induction days after commencement of classes.

Student Grievance & Redressal Cell:

Amrutvahini College of engineering is committed to providing a safe, fair and harmonious learning and work environment. Grievance Redressal Committee was set up at Amrutvahini College of Engineering in accordance with the notification issued by AICTE regarding (Redressal of Grievance of Students) Regulation, 2019 vide F. No. 1- 101/PGRC/AICTE/Regulation/2019 dated 07.11.2019 for establishment of grievance redressal mechanism for handling day-to-day grievances related to students.
Grievance Redressal Committee facilitates the resolution of grievances in a fair and impartial manner involving the respective Dept./Office, maintaining necessary confidentiality, as the case may be. It is guided by the principles of natural justice while redressing the grievances. The committee will consider only formal grievances. Student with a grievance may approach the Grievance Redressal Committee members in person. In case the person is unwilling to appear in person, grievances may be dropped in writing at the Complaint/Suggestion box. Students may also represent their grievances through student representatives or via email at grievanceredressal@iitmjp.ac.in

Objectives:

  • To ensure a fair, impartial and consistent mechanism for redressal of varied issues faced by the students.
  • To uphold the dignity of the Institute by promoting cordial Student-Student relationship, Student-teacher relationship.
  • To develop a responsive and accountable attitude among the students, thereby maintaining a harmonious atmosphere in the Institute.
  • To ensure that grievances are resolved promptly, objectively and with sensitivity and in complete confidentiality.

Grievances:

A “Grievance/Complaint” can be defined as any communication that conveys dissatisfaction about an action or lack of action, about services/deficiency of services in an institute and the complainant asks for remedial action. Grievances pertaining to admission, attendance, discipline matters, student conduct, fee related matter, evaluation process, observation of norms and standards, violation of rules, discrimination, harassment and other academic and non-academic issues

Functions of the Committee:
  • To provide with proper advocacy to students to express their grievances freely and frankly without any fear of being victimized.
  • To obtain the facts through relevant sources in a fair and objective manner, to work out a resolution of the issues.
  • To ensure speedy disposal of every grievance.

  • Academic related issue
  • Amenities and maintenance issue
  • General administration
  • Other related issue
  • Standard operating procedure (SOP):

    Any student who wants to initiate a grievance may first bring the issue to the notice of the Tutor/Class Teacher/HOD, who will address the issue and try to resolve it within 7 working days of the receipt of the grievance.
    If, there is no response within the stipulated time from the respective department/office or student is dissatisfied with response/resolution to his/her grievance, then he/she is free to represent his/her grievance to the Grievance Redressal Committee.
